We wanted to see the lower Snake River and see some sites from the Lewis & Clark expedition. We chose this cruise for the itinerary and were pleased with the choice. The boat is comfortable, especially the Sky and Cascade lounges. The staterooms are a bit dated, but comfortable and we enjoyed the balcony with table and chairs where we had several breakfasts enjoying the sunrise over the river. The crew is friendly and eager to please. The Riverlorian, Bill, and his wife added to our knowledge and gave us lots of laughs and entertaining evenings. The food is good, adequate choices, and they will make things not on the menu. I think the schedules for the days activities are well thought out, and for this reason we found it a very relaxing experience.

We did the precruise experience in Clarkston with a jet boat trip into Hell’s Canyon. The Quality Inn was a most welcoming and friendly place to start the trip. If you’ve forgotten anything, Costco and Wallmart are a 5 minute walk. There is a winery next door and you are welcome to bring any wine on board that you like. I should mention that we had a visit with my husbands cousin while on board and the ships crew couldn’t have been nicer. They were welcoming and even were willing to have her join us for dinner and fix a special dietary meal for her!

Cabin Review

Cabin AAC

We had a wet spot on the carpet which they weren’t too concerned about. The room is comfortable though a bit dated, think 1980s. There are two chairs and a coffee table. The balcony has a table and 2 chairs and is quite pleasant. There were plenty of hangars and drawer space, and outlets. The bathroom had good storage, a plug. I don’t care for a shower curtain but it was ok and the exhaust fan took care of the steam pretty well.
