We always fly in the day of the cruise and never had an issue until this time. Thank goodness I use Princess Air to book. Our 7:30 a.m. flight was cancelled 15 minutes before boarding due to the crew being stuck somewhere else. We managed to get a flight to Tampa and then a prop plane to FLL. We missed muster so had our own private one at 4. We should have been some of the first on the ship and instead we were in the last group.
This was my 4th cruise on this ship - and the first since the upfit. Our cabin was C327. Great location, clean, awesome cabin steward. The new beds were just a little too firm for me but I slept OK. I just had this vision that I was going to lay down and go ahhhhhhh... and that didn't happen. I did like having a sheet.
We were supposed to go to St. Thomas and Princess Cay (and we did) and then Hurricane Isaac made an appearance and instead of Antigua, St. Kitts, St. Lucia and St. Maarten we actually went to Puerto Rico, Grand Turk, Amber Cove and Nassau.
Excellent location not too far from the mid-ship elevators. Interior appeared in pretty good shape. Balcony had a large table, 2 chairs and 2 foot stools. Fridge worked well. A/C kept the room at a good temperature.
It was a beautiful day. Water was clear and warm. When the hurricane rearranged our cruise I could have spent the other 4 port days here and been quite happy.
We got chairs and an umbrella at the pier in front of the ship. The water was crystal clear. Snorkeling was actually good. We saw large angel fish, parrot fish and a whole squad of squid!
