We chose this cruise on the Norwegian Sky because it was scheduled during our vacation to Florida and thought it would be a great idea to try a new cruise line. We usually sail on Carnival and Royal Caribbean. We were very impressed from the start. Embarkation was very smooth. The staff and crew were very friendly and welcoming. We opted for a Guarantee Ocean view cabin and ended up on Deck 8 Cabin 8247. When we arrived at our cabin and opened the door it wreaked of a HORRIBLE curry smell. I immediately went up to Deck 5 Guest services and complained of the smell. Twenty minutes later a supervisor and a cabin steward arrived in our cabin witnessed the smell and asked us to leave while they re clean our cabin. After returning for approximately a half hour room was very clean and smelled great. No traces of curry and they also fixed the air conditioning as well. There are several dining options on the ship. We did not do the specialty dining but heard that the food was just OK. The buffets and dinner in the main dining room were very good. Service was great and plenty of food options. Entertainment on the ship was plentiful. Every bar had live musical entertainment. Pool areas were full but there were plenty of lounge chairs for everyone,

The ports of call were Nassau and Stirrup Cay. We were already in Nassau a couple of months ago so we didn't get off the ship. Enjoyed the peace and quiet. Stirrup Cay was gorgeous. A buffet was offered and free drinks. Shops sold all of the same touristy stuff same prices. Overall it was a lot of fun and worth the price. Free top shelf alcohol was served and plentiful. Loved it so much that we booked another cruise with Norwegian in May 2019.
