I chose SiverSea for it's excellence in service, fine dining, low passenger ratio and ship interior. I received impeccable service, a beautiful ship , and outstanding destinations. For $25,000, I did not receive the quality of food, as promised, the wifi as promised, the spa as promised or the fitness facilities as promised, not to mention the entertainment. Wifi was non existent. Do not plan on using your computer or cell phone. The food was quite mundane and frankly boring. The buffets were the same everyday. The restaurants were okay. Two charged an extra $120 surcharge. We only went to one, which was Kaseiki. It was teppanyaki and boring. No sushi. The other restaurants had the same menu every night, La Terraza and Alantide. The best part about the food was the service. As for our private butler, that was ridiculous. She was very nice, but nothing more than your typical housekeeping staff. The spa was 3 rooms and charged extra for certain oils and to use the spa. They also asked for a gratuity, when it was already included and really pushed their products and their services. The fitness center was very small. it had limited machines and weights. The average age was 60-90 years of age. The entertainment was the same annoying jazz singer every night, a guitarist and a low budget combo, once in a while. Speaking with many other passengers on board, they said Regent was the best cruise line they had been on. The room was lovely, as was the décor of the ship. It was very clean. I would not cruise on Silver Sea again.
Very pretty, roomy, a nice balcony, big bath with a seperate tub and shower and a walk in closet.
It was a lovely town. We sat and had cocktails in an outdoor restaurant and people watched.
A big city, not as touristy as the others. More gritty, but very cool and down to earth.
