Like most people, we decided on this particular cruise for the opportunity to visit Cuba. This is now my 6th cruise (2 Carnival, 2 RC, 2 Disney). We knew going in that this ship was the smallest of the fleet and did not have all the bells and whistles and tech of the newer mega ships, however for a 4 night cruise where the destination is the main draw Majesty was more than adequate and accommodating. Despite many of the reviews on here of "an old and tired ship" and "terrible food/stay clear of the fish" our experience was quite the opposite. The ship is in great shape for being 26 years old, and very clean. The service on-board was as good as any other cruise I have been on, there were enough activities for a 4 night cruise with one day at sea, we were never bored or felt we did not have something to do. The theater shows were very well done, and yes they are of generally 60s/70s music but the production was very good and the performers were very talented. The comedian (Chris Bliss) was great as well. The food on-board was good to very good. Dinner options were not as diverse as I would like however and lobster tail was a $29 up charge. I had fish twice while on this ship, once for dinner (swordfish-was excellent) and once in the windjammer buffet (baked fish-was good). The pizza at Sorento's was very good. Johnny Rockets we had for lunch on our day at sea and was okay I guess, I wouldn't go again as it is $9.95. We did a couples massage on day 3 after Cuba and it was incredible, they advertised $129 per person for 50 minutes I believe but they will knock of $30 if you ask.

As far as the ports of call: Key West was lovely, make sure to beeline it for the southernmost point marker for photos because a line does form. Drinks at Sloppy Joe's were awesome. There is a free trolly tour available.

CUBA! our day in Cuba started by lining up at the theater with our excursion tour, we were led out in a line to go through customs (which was interesting!) overall pretty easy but about a 45 minute wait to get from ship to Cuban soil. We did Royal Caribbean's Havana walking tour, It started out with a 15 minute bus ride through old Havana driving by many sights and historical locations. We stopped first at a place called "Salon Rojo" which is a night club of all places, there they had arranged Cuban cigar lessons with Mojitos, Havana Club rum and Cafe con leche. We were there for about 45 minutes and for me this was the highlight of the tour as it was totally unexpected and felt very authentic. Afterwards we took the bus for another 10 minutes to another location got out and started the walking tour going through many plazas, squares and beautiful architectural locations. There were a few negatives for us in Cuba: one was the beggars on the streets: I was grabbed by my arm several times by woman in Cuban dance costumes to get me to want to take a picture with them for tips, we were hassled by men playing guitar who felt that if they came close to you and started playing/singing you were obligated to tip them, we were also annoyed by men drawing/sketching pictures of us unbeknownst to us and coming up trying to guilt us into buying them. The other negative to Cuba was our tour itself: never was there an opportunity to get something to eat, and speaking of eating in Cuba- DO NOT DO IT! - Our guide at the end of our tour (when we were absolutely starving) advised us that if we chose to eat in Cuba to make sure our lunch was at least $20, if we were to only pay $7-$10 for lunch than they probably did not use sterile water and the food may make us sick! Our reaction was "well what if they sell us $7 food for $20???? Needless to say we rushed back to the ship asap to eat on-board. Read more
