A crossing on the QM2 was a bucket list item and chose our 36th Anniversary as the time to take this cruise. We chose this cruise because we wanted an elegant experience that harkens back to the grand ships from 70 years ago and QM2 delivered. Our balcony stateroom (deck 11) afforded great views and plenty of space. The food in the Britannia dining room (breakfast & dinner) was excellent. How can you go wrong with choices like steak, fish, rack of lamb, beef Wellington, lobster, pheasant, and venison. Staff service was great including our room steward fulfilling a special request to shine my shoes for the first formal night. Special light meals and specialty coffees in the Corinthia lounge with string quartet and watching ballroom dancing at high tea with cucumber sandwiches and scones are experiences not found anywhere in Fort Lauderdale where we live. The dancers in the shows were outstanding and could perform on any network dancing show. Anyone looking to escape their work a day world and dress up at night this ship is for you. We loved it!
