Cabin: Deluxe Balcony

Having sailed on our first Princess cruise on the Sun Princess last year we were hooked.

The temptation to sail on a "new" bigger ship was to easy to accept when recommended by our travel agent.

From the moment we embarked in Brisbane (did Brisbane/Sydney/Fiji/Sydney) we knew we had done the right thing.Everything went like clockwork, the crew were excellent and most helpful no matter who you dealt with. What impressed us was their friendliness and ability to engage in courteous conversation whenever you passed them or approached them.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Balcony

Cabin DE

This was a great cabin with a 3m x 3m balcony which meant we also had footstools to go with our outdoor chairs. This cabin was fairly well forward on the port side with the bridge reasonably close. It had great views especially in harbour where it faced the open side. The view from the balcony was spectacular in Sydney harbour.

The only concern was that when the wind was from a certain quarter when sailing the room developed a loud whistle if the balcony door was open.Annoying if you preferred to sleep with this door open.It only happened for about 2 days while travelling in a East to West direction. This cabin had a interconnecting door (locked) with D148 and I think this contributed to the whistle as I put tape around the door and it lessened the noise.
