This was our 10th ocean cruise and 6th with Princess. We have been on the Regal Princess before back in 2014 on a Mediterranean Cruise and it was terrific then and this was no different. We are seniors, over 65, but mobile and healthy. Embarkation and Disembarkation were seamless, best we've ever had on a cruise. Ship, food, itinerary and especially the entertainment were all excellent. We stayed on Emerald Deck, mid ship balcony E410. Great location, not far from the elevators and close to the Piazza on Decks 5-7. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room steward Mario took care of our room quickly and always kept it clean. Only negatives, were they still charge to buy bottled water, it should be free or no more than a dollar and the charges for the special restaurants are getting ridiculous. First, we are Canadians so the $30 US charge pp for the Crown Grill is $40 Cdn or $80 a couple and that would cover the whole menu. Now if you want lobster they want another $10 US. I made a point of complaining to our waiter as well as in my Princess cruise review. If this continues, I wouldn't make a reservation. The food was great, but not worth it for these extra charges, esp when the dining rooms serve excellent food and have a wide choice. This was the first time we used flexible dining and would do it again. We used Princess for the excursions to Helsinki, Stockholm and Oslo but TJ Travel for Tallin, Berlin and St. Petersburg. The Princess excursions were good, however the TJ Travel tours whom we booked precruise online were outstanding esp in Berlin and St. Petersburg. Not only are they far less expensive than Princess, they are among the best excursions we have anywhere on this planet. Our tour guides were extraordingary, Boris in Berlin and Tatiana in Russia were terrific, we can't say enough about these people, so knowledgeable, informative and pleasant. We were smaller groups which made them even better. I highly recommend anyone planning a Baltic or Scandinavian cruise next year to use TJ Travel. Just use their web site and pick your excursions, you don't pay until after the tours are over. Great cruise with smooth sailing.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BE

As mentioned before we've been on the Regal Princess before in a similar balcony cabin. Perfect for us, wonderful bed, ample storage room with a small couch and coffee table and balcony chairs at midship.

Port Reviews

Copenhagen

Did tour on our own, Hop On Hop Off buses and canal cruise with visit to the Carlsburg Brewery Museum. Stayed two days precruise.

Tallinn

Booked with TJ Travel, great day with Ruth, our tour guide. Surprise how beautiful this town is and worth the visit.

Berlin

One of the highlights of the cruise and booked with TJ Travel which as I covered above was exceptional. Boris our tour guide was fabulous and for those thinking they don't want to take the 90 mins to Berlin from the ship, it goes by quickly, you have a stop plus you see the German countryside. We would not have missed this for the world and Berlin is an extraordinary city that is worth a visit by itself.

St. Petersburg

This was two day tour with TJ Travel and Tatiana our wonderful tour guide. As mentioned before she was extraordinary and with our small group we covered most of the sites listed above and all worth a visit esp, Peterhof, St. Isaac's, Hermitage, Catherine Palace, Church of the Savior, Amber Room and the Faberge Museum. TJ also take you where the citizens of St. Petersburg go so you get a good feeling for the city. Highly recommend you use TJ to do this tour.

Stockholm

Vasa must see coupled with a city tour. Large group with Princess but nonetheless was good. Stockholm is a beautiful city with much to offer.
