We went on the Majestic Princess out of Australia in Sep 2018. The ship was relatively new and was well fitted out, the food was good, the staff were generally great and the entertainers were fantastic.

However, the amenities such as the Pacific Theatre, the buffet and the piazza did not cater for the large number of passengers. We had trouble finding a seat in the buffet and we found ourselves doing a lot of standing to see the entertainment in the piazza due to a lack of seats. The Princess Theatre was a joke; to get a good seat you need to get there about 1 hour before the show. You would miss on a seat completely if you did not get there 15 minutes before the show.

The drinks were also quite expensive. AUD$8.75 for a beer and $13.95 for a nip of spirits. Maybe this was to discourage you from buying drinks because most of the entertainment venues did not have anywhere to place your drink, you had to hold it in your hand or put it on the floor.
