Recent return from Faroe Islands tour. Had been on the Marco Polo 20 years ago on Baltic Cruise.

Enjoyed the overall experience. But found the ship to be very noisy operating. AVOID cabin 429 which has a small service lift next to it ,constant operating noise. We were relocated but would be wary of being able to find a quiet cabin . Good news food ok, good entertainment.Unable to dock at Shetland Islands due to bad weather this seems to happen quite often. Stopped at Invergordon instead so was able to visit Inverness. Drinks reasonably priced. Staff hardworking and helpful ,though breakfast in the Walford could be a rushed mad scramble. Security checks on and off ship very lax. Little scanning of bags on return to ship. Little to recommend the Faroe islands even more remote than I thought they would be. Overall good value for money but will go back to larger ships.

Cabin Review

Cabin Outer twin

As stated 429 should not be a passenger cabin. Staff said that they were not aware of the problem which was hard to believe.Reloca ted

to 474 premium twin which was OK but still not a quiet cabin
