We choose this cruise mainly for the itinerary and we weren’t disappointed. We were offered an upgrade to a suite (at a cost) and it really made the cruise. The ship was much better than expected given the reviews I’d seen. I might be being a little generous but overall we had a great time and the crew all worked hard to assure our satisfaction. The ship seemed to be well maintained and clean. If there is anything negative at all it was the strange smell on the promenade deck, midship, starboard side. Hopefully they get this fixed quickly. My wife and her friend had 5 days in the Izumi Japanese spa and loved it. We were also surprised there were only about 400 Japanese on the ship, so most of our fellow passengers were from Australia, Europe and America. But on one formal night it was cool to see ladies in Kimono. Probably what moved us the most was the warm send offs at almost every port by the local Japanese. From Fireworks to Dance teams to Samurai, it was amazing. They truly made us feel welcome and special! Arigato Gozaimaishita Japan!

Penthouse Suite with Balcony

Cabin S4

Very spacious and well organized. Our bed was very comfortable. The balcony was twice the size of a normal balcony. The split bath was very nice. The flowers and fruit and chocolate cover strawberries were a nice touch. It even had a walk in closet and a lot of storage.
