We chose this cruise because we wanted to see the Panama Canal and the timing was great. Embarkation and disembarkation was very well organized and plenty of Princess personnel directing passengers which caused a smooth move. We did use the transfer from and to ship...glad we did. The Island Princess ship is a smaller ship and I liked it very much.We stayed on Caribe Deck 415 with the larger balcony. I did not like the cabin next door because balcony extended out and looked on to our balcony. Plenty of storage in cabin. Dining was fabulous ...food was good and great selection all the time. I had soy allergy so maitre'd brought menu to me the night before to select my next day's entree. Our maitre'd Alejandro in Bordeaux DR was outstanding making suggestions for me and went out of his way to make sure I enjoyed my dinner. Desserts were also fabulous. I was happy to see they had Escargot and many other delicious appetizers. Our waiter was Charles and he was fantastic, great sense of humor and gave us great service. Entertainment shows at 7:45 and 9:45 each night great and you had to arrive 30 mins before show to get a seat. 9:45 was less crowded. Service was outstanding on the ship...crew was great and very friendly and helpful. Port excursions were great and enjoyed all of them. Ship I felt was not handicap accessible in the pool. height of 5'3" inches water and not easy to get into. This felt by many of seniors.I must say I enjoyed every minute of my cruise and YES I would travel on this ship again. Thank you Island Princess for a great time!
We stayed on Caribe Deck 415 with the larger balcony. I did not like the cabin next door because balcony extended out and looked on to our balcony. However, there was plenty of storage space. Area outside of bathroom had plenty of hangers to hang clothes. Large cabinet with safe in it, had many shelves to store items.
We remained in port and walked around the beautiful port with many vendors. Enjoyed a cold lemonade from Dairy Queen.
