We chose this cruise simply because it went where we wanted to go. Embarkation was good, very easy. The balcony cabin on deck C was of adequate size, the bathroom a little on the small side. We are not big but some of the guests on board would have struggled. They give you the option of hanging your towels if not needing replacement, but they replaced them daily anyhow, but not the sheets. We were on a two week cruise and not sure that we even had one change, definitely only one if any. The door to the balcony needed almost superhuman strength to move.
We ate both at the free dining restaurant, which was quite good, and at the buffet restaurant, which was just ok. Breakfast could have had a little more variety...the "english breakfast" became monotonous. The British themed music constantly being pushed was galling too. If we never hear "Rule Brittania" and "Land of Hope and Glory" again it'll be too soon. The service staff were polite but need to understand that they should move aside for guests, not vice versa, especially when the guest has a tray with multiple items on it. There was only one of the staff, Nikko, who always had a smile and never stopped working.
We found from the moment we boarded we had our hands in our pockets. The drinks programme meant exorbitant prices, £2.95 for a 330ml Coke!! OTT in anyone's language! Even if you bought a package they only gave you 10%off!! The coffee machine was very basic, and they ran out of full cream milk halfway through the cruise. Breakfast was the only time you could get anything other than water without exorbitant charge!
As said before, cabin was adequate for our needs and stewards did a reasonable job.
