To begin with the positives, We enjoyed some parts of the cruise, it was a 11 night cruise and the ports, excursions and dining staff were fantastic.

However, our last night we encountered horrible weather and had to dock in La Spezia missing our last two ports. Our ship broke the moorings on the dock and drifted away in the wind causing it to bump into the neighboring ship. Our family was very disappointed that there was no warning before the collision or any information shared with passengers that the ship had broke from the dock. No one was injured but that was just lucky because it could have been a bad collision and notice should be given immediately when that is happening. We then had to leave in the middle of the night by bus to go to Rome. Weather can always occur but we were very disappointed in the lack of communication from the Celebrity officers.

Also, we have two small children and one should know that this ship does not have many young family amenities. The indoor pool is adult only and the outdoor pool is not heated so we had no pool to use when it got chilly. There is a kids room upstairs on deck 11. Overall it caters to older adults.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2A

The cabin is nice, the pullout bed is just for a single person, our four old fit in but may not fit adults very well.

Port Reviews

Corsica (Ajaccio)

If you want to go to the beach, go left from the dock and take it all the way around and you will run into the town beach and a block from there is taxi station to get taxis.

Sete

The French are not as hospitable to Americans which was apparent in this city, we went to a few restaurants who would not seat us being a group of 10 yet they had space in their restaurants. the canals are fun to see and the WWI garden park is worth walking to and easy to access, but otherwise its just worthwhile for a few hours. I think the ship could spend more time in Spain and Italy than France who clearly does not want American tourists.

Toulon

We loved Castillet! So beautiful, could have skipped Marseilles and spent more time in the Provence countryside.
