Celebrity Silhouette is the most unstable vessel I have ever sailed upon, and I have sailed many ships from many cruise lines around many parts of the globe. She lurched from side to side and front to rear for the entire two weeks. Two weeks of bouncing off the corridor walks despite calm seas. Spoilt the holiday really. By the end of the two weeks the number of passengers seen with arms, wrists or legs in bandages or casts was on the increase.
On the upside, the food was amazing and couldn’t be faulted. The service from wait staff was amazing also.
The entertainment however was lacking severely and the facilities on the ship put it in the category of basic compared to their competitors.
Nice size balcony but the cabin next door was almost half the size even though they paid the same amount for what was expected to be the same cabin.
Nice port with easy walking access to the shops, bars and restaurants
Took a taxi to a fantastic beach about 20 minutes north. Arranged for the driver to collect us at a specific time and he was there ready and waiting. 4 adults costing €30 return.
Lovely port. Took a tuk-tuk for a 2 hour tour of the city. Cost €110 for 4 adults and the driver was fantastic. Got to see many parts of the city on this whirlwind experience.
Easy walk into the local town for shopping
