This was our first Celebrity Cruise. We chose this shop both for the size and the itineraries. These were some interesting ports! We arrived from our hotel in Rome with two other couples we met on Cruise Critic. We arrived around 1:45 and walked right on to the ship! No lines or waiting due to being past the rush and having the express paperwork filled out. Our cabin was ready and we dropped our carryon and went to have lunch in the Oceanview Cafe. There was a lot of choices and a bit confusing in the layout. We found our friends and enjoyed our first days, The cabin had plenty of storage and we had brought some extra hangers to store our gear. The bathroom was adequate with a pretty good size shower. The balcony furniture was nice and comfortable. There was some signs of age. Particularly the “ headboards” are kind of scruffy and the carpeting worn. But comfortable and adequate.

We ate our meals in the MDR and even though we had open seating we ended up making a reservation for th same table most nights and got to know our waiters... Food was mostly very good. Some choices were a little unique for our tastes but generally very good.

Staff all over the ship were welcoming and friendly. The cruise director Paul and a Sarah were entertaining without being cloying. Entertainment was mostly very good in the main theater. The ship orchestra was excellent. However, the lounge singers were painfully bad. They tried but were off key and sad. Would have liked a piano bar sing along atmosphere better.

Port Reviews

Corsica (Ajaccio)

We took a bus ride around that was available in the port. We also enjoyed the market that was going on ...

Malaga

We walked all over the town and enjoyed some tapas.

Cadiz

We did our own thing here too. Easy to walk around and see the area. Maps given out and lovely walk along the shore.

Sete

Lovely little town. We walked around the area then took a tourist train that runs around the area. The ladies selling the tickets were less than helpful but still enjoyed our time, there is a blue and red path marked around the area and the signs were easy to follow.

Toulon

We took a ship tour to Cassis.. it was really good, We went by bus to the top of the mountain and then into town. The weather was mixed but we enjoyed this sweet port and their delicious bakeries!
