We chose this cruise because It was Fremantle to Fremantle. The people of Perth have been neglected by the cruise lines for choice and Fremantle return cruises, perth people appear to be treated second class by the cruise lines. Giving us very limited options and usually the small tired old ships. Bring back the 12-17 day Top end or Singapore cruises from Fremantle and return, which saves money and hassle on flying and makes the holiday stress free.

The entertainment onboard was very good apart from Princess still repeating the same old shows that I’ve seen on past cruises like British Invasion etc. The big screen needs more music videos not blaring out rubbish movies ,cirque du soleil, or documentaries while passengers trying to enjoy pool area and relaxation. The 24 hour cafe is very good great food however coffee not very good an waiters are miserable. Guest services desk very helpful and sorted out any problems. Dining Room was perfect, food very good but menu sometimes basic and repetitive, the Buffett was generally very good although vegetables were scarce and seats sometimes very hard to find.

Princess Cruises decision to almost double drink prices in a year since my last cruise and remove Happy Hours is a ridiculous and terrible decision! It has also ruined the Wheelhouse bar which used to be packed and had a party atmosphere but now mostly empty and depressing. Eg: Drambuie $7.95 now $13.75 and no Happy Hour. The removal of the pizzeria another terrible decision and to just replace the great pizzas with thick doughy square slices at the grill instead of real pizza is stupid idea.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BC

Cabins are old and tired, curtains are not wide enough so cabin broad daylight at 5am. Bathrooms are tiny and old. This cabin has a great location and very quite spot no noise from buffet above or pool area even though both are so close. Finally a cabin with no creaks or squeaks even in rough weather, beds are great now. Still no interactive TV on ship.
