It was our 50th anniversary and this cruise was recommended by friends. It met and exceeded our expectations. The scenery was spectacular. The food was excellent and provided a diverse menu with great options. The other passengers we met and dined with were, without exception, wonderful and friendly folks from various places.
We thought that the shore excursions were less satisfactory. There was often not sufficient time to enjoy the sights. Some leaders were more informative and better organized than others.
On German night in town, the dinner was German but did not offer any options for entrees. This seemed to be due to efficiency, with everyone given the same menu. We had assumed we could choose bratwurst, kraut, and red cabbage since that is what we think of when we think of a traditional German meal but that is not what was on the menu for all of us. Need more choices and more time!
Cabin was excellent. Veranda was nice to have.
