We had been wanting to do a European river cruise for quite a few years. We had been receiving Viking literature and finally decided to book a trip. We added on a Lucerne pre-excursion. It was a great way to get to Europe early to explore and get accustomed to the time zone difference. Viking was spot on with all the details. All their t's were crossed and their i's were dotted. We felt like royalty from the moment we got off the plane. The ship was wonderful and had all the amenities one would need. Our cabin was a comfortable retreat at the end of a long day of exploring. And the deck was a bonus for relaxing in the evening or watching the beautiful countryside go by while sailing. The tours throughout the cruise were top notch. The free tours were just as fabulous as the paid tours. The food on the ship was fabulous in both the dining room and the Aquavit. Their customer service was wonderful and top notch. As an example, while we sailed through the Rhine Gorge, it was a cool, crisp morning; they came around with blankets and hot cocoa (with a little extra "warmth" to add, if desired). The staff was amazing and most remembered our names by Day 2. They were always smiling and very attentive. We would do another Viking cruise in a heartbeat. Thanks Viking for making our dream come true!!

Cabin Review

Veranda Stateroom

Cabin was clean and comfortable. Had all that we needed to make for a wonderful vacation. Balcony was a nice bonus where we would relax at the end of each amazing day. Our cabin steward was very attentive and friendly. We asked at the very beginning if there were robes available and within 10 minutes, they were in our cabin to use for the trip. Very customer focused.

Port Reviews

Koblenz

Cologne was an amazing little town and just as you would envision an old European town to look like.
