We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. The crew is excellent and the true wealth of the Princess Cruise Line. The balcony cabin on the Aloha deck was tired and in need of a serious makeover. The food on this cruise was sub-standard and poor quality--tough pork and beef--poor selections--fish (trout) that the wonderful waiter told me not to order--he had already returned several portions to the kitchen from other diners. We enjoyed the ports and the beautiful views and slept very well on the new mattresses but the cabin had peeling wallpaper and stained carpet--our wonderful cabin steward made it as comfortable as possible. This is our second (and last) problematic cruise with Princess. Their shortcuts are showing and it is not pretty. Other passengers commented to our party of four about the poor food quality. We spent extra to have burgers at the Salty Dog Pub--2 of the 4 burgers were tough and grizzly.
