We decided to take this ship because it was recently refurbished. I think they did a great job & the ship was beautiful! A few things that were different: you do not have to sign for every drink with the drink package. This is good & bad. You dont have to sign, but you can't add additional tips either. They don't have luggage valet to take your luggage to the airport on this ship. We really like that option, especially with a later afternoon flight. We signed up for the shuttle transportation to FLL ($33.50 for 2). We waited in line for 30 minutes & there was no room on the bus for us. We decided to get a Lyft. The Lyft driver arrived before another bus & we were out of the port for $15 including a tip. Don't waste your time or money on the RC Shuttles!
The food was good in all locations, Main Dining Room, Windjammer Cafe, Promenade Cafe & specialty restaurants. We bought the 3 meal dining package & ate in Chops Grille twice & Giovanni's another night. Both restaurants were good, but I didnt feel like they were worth the extra money.
We didnt get to see every place on the ship, but what we did see was great.
We had a balcony cabin which was great. The bed seemed hard so we asked about an egg crate mattress & were told RC stopped providing those. Our room steward, Hitesh, added a comforter under the sheets to make it more comfortable. My husband has a CPAP & there are no plugs by the bed. Hitish got an extension cord & a gallon of distilled water for the CPAP.
Paradise Beach is a great place to relax by the pool or beach. This was our 4th time here.
