We chose this cruise because of the day by day Island hopping and boy was it worth it. We swam with the Dolphins in St Kitts and it was a beautiful experience with our 4 year old. In St Maarten we found an excursion at the port and paid $25 each (child was free) for a very nice 3.5 hour tour on an air conditioned bus with other tourists. Extremely informative with many picturesque stops including the famous airport. In Barbados we took a $5.00 shuttle taxi (with many others that we did not know in nice bus) to the Boatyard beach; it’s very clean and private and they offer free sea turtle snorkel trips with your entrance free. Worth it! They also have a few water “toys” like a slide and trampoline and swing for the bigger kids and adults. In st Lucia we booked a private tour (HIGHLY recommend) with Ride St Lucia and they took us by water boat to the volcano mud baths, a beautiful waterfall that you get under and a local lunch and beach. This was our highlight. In Antigua we just found a tour at the port and rode around the island in air conditioning... it was “ok.”
The actual ship is big and could use remodeling like others have mentioned but it in no way takes away from your experience. I wish it offered more Broadway shows as they only offered two but they were great. Loved it. I traveled with my husband our son and my parents. We had a late flight on the last day and booked an excursion in San Juan Puerto Rico on our own with airport shuttle. I recommend that as well. The Fort is a must see with gorgeous views .
The cabin was spacious and yes the beds were hard. But we slept fine and loved our room and the space that the balcony added. I don’t have much negative to say but I would like to point out that the pictures on their site are misleading as the curtain only goes about 2.5 feet .... it does not close off one side of the room from the other like the Disney ships we have been on but we made do. Hopefully they will adjust this when they remodel.
