We chose this cruise because of the itinerary, embarking in Venice and sailing through the Suez Canal, disembarking in Durban Sth Africa.
There was a long 7 days at sea and unlike other cruises we have been on, there were very few interesting activities to keep the passengers occupied. They seemed to think everyone would just want to lay by the swimming pool, which many of the European passengers seemed to want to do. Coming from Australia, we get plenty of sun/pool time every year so we like do do other things apart from sunbathing and sitting by a tiny pool. Many people claimed their sun lounge each morning with a towel and book and then disappeared for hours so no-one else could use the sun lounge.
The entertainment was 2nd rate rubbish, apart from one or two production numbers with some decent dancers and the food in the dining room was almost inedible.
Good size cabin, nicely furnished but needed a few more robe hooks to hang a bag or hat.
Robe hooks needed in the bathroom also so you didn't have to put all your clothes on the floor or the toilet.
TV was too small but there was nothing to watch anyway - no satellite reception whilst navigating and there were only 9 movies which included silly things like " Spider-Man" and "Baby Driver" which were totally unsuitable for the older age demographic of the passengers.
We embarked in Venice and stayed at a hotel
Not much to do here except go to the supermarket near the port to buy snacks and water.
Lovely day, gorgeous little villages
