A bit about us. We have sailed all of the Royal Caribbean Ship classes except Sovereign class and Quantum class. We have sailed from Ft Lauderdale, Tampa, San Juan, Seattle and Galveston. We are Diamond members and our cruising family are my Wife and I, both in our early 50s, and a 16 year old son and a 14 year old Daughter.

So- Underwhelming. The ship was great, the staff was great. The food on all of our ships has been sliding over the years, so while it was not great- it was as expected.

*A food side note- it would be really nice if cruise ships would get with the healthy times and have a few healthy choice items for every meal.

Cabin Review

Ocean View Balcony

We had 2 adjoining balcony rooms on deck 7. I would have liked if the rooms could have had a hid a bed in the couch. A little more sleeping space would have been nice. The room felt a bit worn. Like an older hotel I guess. The drawers had spots worn through the vainer and you could see raw wood. Same thing in the bathroom vanity. I guess in 'Texan Terms' I would call the room rode hard put away wet. We were on deck 7, near the rear in adjoining balcony rooms. We did have a great stateroom attendant.

Port Reviews

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Taxi to Paradise Beach, $5 each way. A few dollars to get in, and like 15 for each chair on the beach. Rented paddle boards and did some snorkeling. I walked back to the tender dock, it was about 3 miles on the sidewalk.

Falmouth

We have been here several times. While they have posted lots of guards in the streets after you leave the gated shopping district we were still hounded hard by aggressive local males. They tried to sell everything from trinkets, to hair braiding to drugs and sexual favors. I will probably not cruise ships that port here any longer. Why port at a place you do not feel safe walking outside of the gated shopping district.

Cozumel

We have been here several times and took a nice walk into town from the port. It is about 3 miles but a nice sidewalk all the way overlooking the water.

Galveston

We stayed at the Galvez which has a shuttle to the ship every half hour. It is a great old hotel with bikes you can use, a nice pool and hot tub.
