We had so much fun from the minute my sister and I reached the port in Honolulu until we reluctantly disembarked a week later. The crew members were very friendly and helpful. They cultivate an aloha spirit on the ship and we loved the warmth and welcome of everyone we met. I’d read critical reviews that had made me worried, but our experience made me think some people just like to complain. There was plenty of lovely places on the ship so I never felt crowded. Our balcony cabin on deck 9 provided sanctuary and everything we needed. We enjoyed the buffet food very much. I’m a vegetarian and I had plenty to eat. We ate in the included restaurants for breakfast twice and dinner once and that food was good too. We felt that the price of alcoholic drinks was reasonable. We enjoyed the shows. So much work and talent went into the productions. We went to two of the parties and danced a little. It is fun to dance with the cast members with their energetic moves and fun costumes but we didn’t like the choice of music much and left early both times. The port of call meetings with the Hawaiian Ambassador in the mornings were very helpful. We left the ship everyday to explore. There is so much that Hawaii has to offer so you only get a little taste at each port but every day we had wonderful adventures. If you like to snorkel I recommend the Molokini excursion. Fantastic! Our only disappointment was that the cruise along the Napoli coast (featured in all the promotion pictures) was cancelled due to ship maintenance.
