Sail Date: Nov 2018
Cabin: Balcony

We chose this cruise because it was our 25th Wedding Anniversary and we wanted to get away to celebrate. This was our 6th Carnival Cruise. We had a balcony room on the Lido Deck.

The ship itself is similar to the Breeze which we have sailed on twice, but it does seem a little more tired looking. The colour scheme of green seemed a bit dated. But, after a while you don't even notice.

Breakfast - we did breakfast in the lido Restaurant every day. Choices were good, food was great and no issues except one day we literally stood in line for 40 minutes - I timed this due to another review. But this was only one day - rest of the time was fine and we probably just went at the wrong time with people wanting to eat before getting off the ship.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8E

Cabin was good. As mentioned, mattresses need to be updated, fridge doesn't get very cold and the air conditioning is not super great - just ok. We were not sweltering, but not particularly cool either. Room steward Kristian was absolutely awesome, best ever! This was American Thanksgiving week so more kids than usual running around making noise but we just block it out.

Port Reviews

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

We just walked around here and did some shopping. Pool looked awesome.

St. Thomas

Again, just walked around and shopped.

San Juan

Walk and shop.

Grand Turk

Walk and shop. Pool here also looks like fun but didn't use.
