We chose this cruise because friends had already booked. The ship recently went through a renovation but it was clear the renovation was only in certain common areas. Our stateroom was filthy, old and very tired. Overall the food was good except in the Lido area. I'm attaching some pictures of our stateroom so you can see how neglected it is. The overall entertainment was sparse, however, the cruise director was very friendly and asked for suggesions on how to make things better. Most of the staff was very helpful and attentive but the overall feeling we got from the cruise was there wasn't enough to do unless you wanted to go and sit and listen to people speak about different topics. We knew going into this cruise that HAL caters to a much older crowd but even older people enjoy some live music by the pool and clean updated accomodations.
