We did the Thanksgiving week cruise out of Miami on the new ship the Bliss! Kind of like the old ship only bigger. We were really excited for this cruise and the kids were super pumped about the go karts and laser tag. The only problem is they never got to use them as they were all reserved before we even boarded. The reservation system was horrible as multiple reservations we made were no where to be found for both dinning and activities. We were not the only ones with this problem as on Thanksgiving we were pushed to the side with all the other families that they had "lost" the reservations. Demanded to speak to a manager and they refused. Of course it was now going to be over an hour wait and our 5 year old was not going to sit there for over an hour in hopes getting a table. So we had to go to the buffet and sit there all dressed up....not good. Same problems with the go karts....lost reservations. The shows were not appropriate for younger kids so we had to leave both of them (would have helped if they told us that when we booked them). The movies on board (not many) were shown on the screen over the pool and again were not geared to younger kids. It was mostly football that was shown here anyways. The service in the restaurants was spotty as they brought the wrong orders once (then you had to wait all over again) and took me going to a manager to get served another night (just poor organization). The service in the pub was horrible and you had to go to the bar to get anything and clear your own table. The food was just ok as they seem to be pushing the upgraded restaurants if you want better food now. There is a couple of other new features on this ship with the observation deck (napping lounge) and the draft house. Cool spots but I miss the ice bar. The kids club was awesome as usual and all those folks did a wonderful job! The room steward also did a great job and never missed a beat. The casino was packed as usual but seemed to be better separated for the smokers so the smell was not as bad and that was nice. Most everything else was the same old NCL. After these problems with reservations we are going back to RC for the next one.
