We don't cruise often and were not sure what to expect. Generally, we take active vacations with plenty of sightseeing. To our surprise, the 12 days passed so quickly and we didn't want to get off :)

Norwegian Gem is a beautiful ship and can be compared to a 5-star hotel. Layout is excellent and so it never felt crowded - the lounges and restaurants are spread out. We didn't have to wait in line on most days for dining and on the day of Thanksgiving, we waited only 15 minutes.

Everything met or exceeded our high expectations (cabin, service, dining, activities, shopping, etc). Almost everyone we spoke to were repeat customers.

Cabin Review

Family Balcony

Cabin B2

Very nice bed, furniture and bathroom. Only complaint is the very small TV (might have been a 24-inch screen)

Port Reviews

San Juan

We arrived at 4pm and had only 2 hrs before it got dark. Walked around the port on our own.

St. Thomas

We took a group taxi for a 2-hour island tour. A nice way to pass time and see the scenic spots. It cost $25 per person.
