We chose this cruise for the itinerary and the price. The last time we took a Norwegian cruise was 4 years ago and the food was much better. Breakfast was very good. However lunch was not-all the hot dishes looked like warmed up dog food. We usually had salad and the Asian dish or went to the back for hot dogs or hamburgers. The appetizers at dinner in the main dining room -includes the soups and salads-were good. The main courses were about what you would get at a mid-price chain restaurant. Desserts were always good. No duck, lamb, or lobster in main dining room. No lobster in any dining room. The specialty restaurants were very good and worth the extra cost.

We could see cost cutting measures in all sorts of ways. Sometimes just little things like not giving out beach carryalls which must cost all of 10 cents but are good to have, no chocolate on the pillow, beach towels had to be signed out and if you lost one there was a $25 charge. There was no captain's party where you get 1 or 2 free drinks. We didn't miss it because we had the drink package.

There were only two production shows on a 15 day cruise and they had no scenery-just the lights on the curtains changing color. Most 10 day cruises have 3 big shows. The comic and male singer who each performed 2 nights were excellent.

Nice size and very comfortable. Could use a second nightstand and a table in front of couch.
