We chose this cruise because we got a good deal on it. We're long-time RCI sailers, so only go on their line.

The ports were lovely; I had never been to Europe before except a land-based Italy tour, so it was good to see other sides of Europe. We didn't do any excursions, just wandered through the towns.

As for the ship, it is showing its age with minor issues here and there, but it's still nice. The amenities are just right for the size of passengers. The food and the entertainment are awesome, up to RCI's high standards. I was pleasantly surprised, as the food quality had gone down in some of my previous cruises. Yes, they don't offer lobster any more on the formal night, but there are delicious entrees for everyone at each dinner. We ate at the MDR each night and the two lunches at sea, except at Chops the first night. Windjammer was good for breakfast and lunch, and is relatively large (compared to other RCI ships) for the number of guests, so you usually can find a table.

Cabin Review

Cabin 2N

Good cabin, nice, big window. The drawers were showing their age and were hard to open, but the closet had a good amount of space. Three big drawers, three small drawers, two skinny cabinets flanking the mirror, and a big cabinet above the TV. Space to store suitcases under the bed, and the tiny table in front of the loveseat is moveable to make additional floorspace available. The bathroom had a single small drawer and 4 spacious shelves, the shower had a fabric shower curtain and storage basket inside the shower.

The room was easy to access the elevator, but we didn't hear any noise from the elevator/stairs lobby. With our ports, we always left from deck 1, midships, so it was easy to get off and get to anywhere in the ship from this cabin. No engine noise or other extraneous noise.
