We have done multiple cruises on other cruise lines but this was our first experience with NCL. We booked this cruise because it suited our dates and destination choices. It was unfortunate about the breakdown but we made the best of the situation and thought all the staff was doing their best to accommodate. The delays some experienced at the airport was regrettable but unfortunately many of those delays were airline related and out of NCL's control. We expected that kind of chaos so we just stayed on board for 2 more nights while people were trying to fly home and said we would make our own arrangements. Within 15 minutes of the first announcement of the breakdown and cruise cancellation we changed our plans and booked 3 nights in San Juan and then had a great night partying. When we departed the ship on Tuesday, Nov 20th we had no crowds, no chaos and had a great 3 days while we adjusted our plan. We have received a 100% refund and a 100% credit to a future cruise plus airline costs so I do not believe NCL could have done any more than they did for us. There are always the people that find something to complain and are loud and vocally negative but I usually find it best to ignore those personalities because nothing much pleases them anyway. We will book another NCL cruise.
