The Rotterdam is for you if----
1. You like old ships in disrepair with very outdated furnishings in the public areas, with rusted over window frames, distasteful outdated decor of poor replicas of Chinese artifacts that had no theme to them of any kind.
2. if you like very mediocre entertainment in the theater, with a theater with insufficient capacity requiring that you get there at least 40 minutes before show time to secure a seat and sit there, bored and annoyed for 40 minutes till they start the very unprofessional shows. I have been on NCL and MSC and the shows were outstanding and fascinating and Broadway quality and the stuff on the Rotterdam was boring as hell
The room size was ample for a ship. The linens were super pleasant and of good quality. the sink was cracked. The window frame was rusted over.
Hired a private taxi with a driver named Oscar for $80 for the full day for 3 people and he went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we had a grand time. Much much better value than EXC excursions from the ship
Beautiful destination
