I was on the Carnival Horizon Sept 30, 2018 out of Miami with my daughter, son in law, husband and our 18 month old granddaughter.

The first thing I would say is to download the Carnival Hub app for free before you go. It won’t do anything until you get on board, but once you are on board it does EVERYTHING.

For $5 per person for the entire voyage you can text your travel companions. We used the heck out of this! Thank goodness the days of families using walkie talkies is over! The app performed almost perfectly, and you don’t need to purchase an onboard internet plan. You just have it ready to go, click on “I’m on board ” and you can chat, make your dinner reservations, get some of the menus, (not all!) find out what’s going on and which restaurants are open. Honestly, you’re going to love it. You put your phone in Airplane mode, and use the ship’s wifi for free. No cell phone bill!

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8D

Standard cabin, even though we booked up higher in the ship. Tiny. Good hair dryer...no welcom basket as in prior cruises. I think asking people to SIGN how many times a day they want service is tacky.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

I actually love Cozumel. Been here multiple times. The excursions are great, but not with an 18 month old! So we got off on our own after her nap, got an Ice and shopped. Perfect.
