We have been on 4 other Celebrity cruises, three of those in Aquaclass and loved it We had heard so much about the Edge and decided a 3 day cruise wouldn't be a bad idea before committing to a longer trip. A previous reviewer gave an accurate description of the new infinity balcony stateroom. Cheap looking furniture, laminate flooring on the walls, no cabinets in the bathroom--just open shelving. I tend to be messy so a cabinet door is a necessity for me so a traveling companion isn't bothered by my stuff. My friend and I nicknamed our cabin 'The Box.'

A problem we ran into was that one of us is an early bird and the other is a night owl who loves to sleep in. On the other ships you can easily grab a coffee, open the sliding door enough to slip through, and enjoy the fresh air on your own balcony. With the new set up, there is one motorized shade that goes up and down the window. So you can't sit out on the balcony without filling the room with light and waking the other person.

Celebrity has changed the dining experiences. They recognize that there's money to be made by attracting passengers to the specialty restaurants and so they've increased the number of them. As a result, we felt as if they had sacrificed space and location of Blu, the Aquaclass restaurant. No longer are there windows to look out at the sea. There are windows but if the shades were up you would see lifeboats and a deck. There is no wall separating Blu from the hallway. We sat beside a metallic curtain and listened to all of the noise from people going by in the hallway. It felt as if we were sitting in the hallway, not in a restaurant.
