Want to start by saying that overall, the ship is beautiful and we had a great experience. Many of the Celebrity lifers who will post online will be critical in part because the Edge is just very different than the rest of the fleet. But different does not mean it’s bad. It’s just different which I think is what Celebrity was aiming for.

True positives of the Edge are the service, the food (four general restaurants to choose from rather than just one), the resort deck, the walking/jogging track, the rooftop garden, the gym, the spa, and the martini lounge which serves as a central meeting point before dinner and the shows. Also appreciated the art work and color schemes around the ship.

Only critical points are: Celebrity missed the mark with the infinity balcony but we give them credit for trying something new (people just prefer the traditional balcony), the minimums at the casino were too high (they just need to bring back a few $10 minimum tables to cater to a broader audience), and the whole Eden performance arts thing is just way too weird. While the interactive Eden performance may have some appeal to a certain crowd in NYC, London or Dubai, I bet that 90% - 95% of the ship’s customers just laughed at it and left rather quickly. Eden can stay as a nice area to relax at the back of the ship, but the whole performance thing has to go. I bet Celebrity makes this adjustment rather quickly.
