Since I was very young I wanted to visit Paris and the Normandy beaches, then Viking gave me the opportunity. We had a previous Viking River Cruise and thought Viking could not top that trip but the Paris-Normandy was equal or better. The trip was a combination of a great customer service, a modern, clean facilities, World-class tours and tour guides, and the best menu and food served the way each passenger wanted. The crew, especially the dining staff, quickly become friends instead of servers. The person that takes care of your room greets you each day with a smile and when you return you have a room that is clean and comfortable. The chef and his staff went out of their way in proving good food but a great dining experience. Highlight of all cruise are the tours. We had tour guides that spoke English, were very knowledgeable at each site, and always pleasant when answering questions. The other members of the staff were exceptional as well. Again we had a great time and it was hard to leave the boat. We are already planning our next Viking River Cruise and cannot wait for our adventure to begin.

The last Viking River Cruise was on a smaller ship but it seemed the rooms were larger. Other than that the room was well maintained, very clean, and we slept well.
