We went on a birthday celebration cruise in the Caribbean first time Cruise in December. We usually go to Hawaii early December, but wanted a new adventure.

The Silhouette is less than 10 years old but needed a repair or 2 during 9-night Cruise. One day we had a note in our cabin that water to some staterooms would be off for 2 hours in the afternoon for repairs. Another time, the crew was welding outside by a stairway leading up from 14 to 15. Noise was offensive in that area close to the pool.

The pool facilities are way too small to accommodate a full passenger cruise. If you do not miss breakfast in the dining room in order to save a desired chair at the pool, forget about it. Hated to get up early and sit in Serenity pool area just to get a preferred lounger by a window. Four out of nine days were at sea and that’s when then chair squaters were out. Read more
