It was ok, nothing espectacular. I’ve been to 8 Cruises with different cruise lines and have not been disappointed, especially with Carnival, I’ve had a Fantastic time!!!

In the Norwegian Gem, we had problems with the stateroom: toilet not working, hot water not running, we got a sailaway balcony vs a nice regular balcony we paid for an extra $600. And we had to deal with of all these for 12 days, they couldn’t change us to a different room bc all the balcony staterooms were full so we weren’t as comfortable as we paid for to be but we had to bare with the inconveniences.

Moreover, the time in 2 of the ports was too short. We got to Pto Rico @ 4 pm and everything closed at 5 pm so we got to do nothing since it was a work-week day. And the very last port in St. Thomas we had less than half a day before we had to embark and head back to NY. Leaving from NY to travel south isn’t the wisest unless of course, you get to spend more time in the ship and spend your money there.

Family Balcony

Cabin B2

We were expecting a nicer and more clear view balcony, instead we got a limited view boxed balcony. Our stateroom neighbors told us that they paid Sailaway price for theirs while we paid full balcony price.

Also, living in Florida and having to fly all the way up to New York to only cruise back down to the Caribbean 2 full days was not ideal.

Wish they embarked from Miami
