Sunset in Aruba

Our first time on the Silhouette and it was excellent. We boarded at the newly redone terminal 25 which was beautiful and extremely easy to check in and wait to board. Boarding started at about 11:15 and went smoothly. We were in a concierge cabin and were in the second group to board. We were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine at the ships entry and ventured down to the Passport Bar to wait for lunch in the main dining room. The lunch was passable but not memorable by any means. After lunch our cabins were available and so off we went. Our cabin was 1095 and was very comfortable especially the bath. There is plenty of storage and the shower was excellent with the glass doors. A big difference over the Constellation with its shower curtain and limited storage. The Balcony was fine and had a small table and two chairs with foot stools. We had a four night dining package and made reservations for different evenings in Murano. This is a French inspired restaurant which cannot be beaten, just plain fantastic in both food and service and well worth the additional cost. We only dinned in the MDR once and it was Ok. The entertainment on board was Ok but the theater production of "Pearl" was in our opinion Poor at best. The next evening John Bressler performed and was Great. He is such a great piano player and his "Schtick" added to the music. We were at the first performance and stayed for the second, missing dinner. What a great show ! we stopped at Grand Cayman but stayed on the ship as we have been here many times. Aruba was the next stop and we enjoyed the day walking through town. As we were in port until 12:00AM I made reservations at a restaurant to watch the sunset. The name of the restaurant was "West Deck" and provided a beautiful ocean view and some Super food. A truly memorable evening. Te next day in Curacao we walk around the town and it was raining so we headed back to the ship. Bonaire was next and we had rented a Golf Cart to tour the island. It was raining pretty hard for the first part of our ride but clear up a bit. We visited the "Donkey Sanctuary" which was great as they have over 700 donkeys they have rescued from the island that were wild. After departed Donkey paradise the rains returned so we turned the golf cart in and returned to the ship. Debarkation was smooth with no problems at all.

Cabin C2

We enjoyed this cabin very much. The bathroom was a highlight and very quiet in the room itself. The balcony was excellent two chairs and foot stools and a small table.
