So we have been on Infinity before on a trip to Alaska and I do like the ship for its size but it is showing wear and tear. And I overheard alot of people complaining about some conditions, worn wood handrails, carpeting, paint and such... but seriously that really does not bother me for the price we paid for the cruise. Yes the new ships are way more updated but then lower your expectations if you want to sail on the Infinity or this itinerary.

My biggest issue is the disparity in the bar service. For example, we had a drink at the Cellar Masters bar and the servers were incredibly attentive...asked what our preferences were for a wine choice and even made a better selection for us to try. We did have the Premium Beverage Package so we could choose the higher $ wines and cocktails. Now lets talk about the Martini Bar....the servers never once looked anyone in the eye. We quickly learned that you had to lean over the ice top bar and wave your room card to get their attention. This was not just us...many people complained. Same for several of the pool bars. I stood near several people who were there before me and completely ignored. Many asked for a particular drink only to be told we cant make that. Never experienced something like this on a Celebrity cruise before. So you had to learn where to go for a drink.

For Dining we ate in Qsine and Blu...both fantastic food and the service was wonderful.

Cabin Review

Aqua Class

Cabin A1

Cabin was very standard Celebrity style for a ship of this type. I think that the only real thing that made it an 'Aqua Class' cabin was the small floral diffuser above the desk. LOL

We did get some small snacks at night before dinner but they were quite strange. One night was three raw scallops in some sort of glaze, an unidentifiable pink marshmallow rectangle thing (didnt try that) and two chips. The next night was a small scoop of curry chicken, some black and green olives and again the same three chips. Oh and 3 green apples which stayed there the whole cruise, then one night 1 apple was mysteriously replace with a green pear.

The cabin was not overly expensive so my expectations were not high.

What did bother me was the cabin steward. We asked for 2 additional towels each night and only received them one night. Our water was never replenished even after I wrote him a note requesting such. The Evian water is $5.50 a bottle and is not included in the Premium Drink Package which is why they also give you 2 bottle of some unknown brand water in the cabin.

Also be aware there are no irons available, so if you need something pressed you need to send it out and its not cheep.
