We liked the 8 night cruise instead of 7. The embarkation was probably the best we have experienced in many, many cruises. There were 300 Diamond Members and 200 Diamond Plus Members - all stuffed into the lounge and spilling out into the Viking Crown Lounge.

Luggage was delivered in ample time to unpack before muster.

We are Diamond Plus with over 300 nights on Royal. However, We did not have robes - did not have shampoo - did not have lotion - did not have our free bottle of wine - when we entered the cabin. As it was a busy day, we were ok with it being delivered the next day. Surprise - not delivered on day 2 either!. When I asked the cabin steward about it - he said that we had to REQUEST those things or we wouldn't get them. I said OK - I request them. Everything but the wine was delivered that night.
