The ship was at capacity of over 6000 people when we cruised in Dec of 2018. The lines were long everywhere!!! Tough to get into the cafes, shows, etc. The elevators were a complete nightmare! They were so busy and crowded that they locked up! The food was awful, really awful. Our table had to send back food night after night in the main dining room. The food was lukewarm at best and very poorly prepared and massed produced. Pre-packaged appearance and taste and appeared to have been out way too long. The decks were wet and dangerous and the crew did not keep it mopped. Many slip and falls. We have been on Royal Caribbean cruises before and the sanitation was much better on other ships. The crew told us they were not happy and many were getting reassigned. They said the company had cut back on employees and were using a "new business" model. They pushed alcohol like crazy and were very obviously taking the guest for every dime they could squeeze out of us. We would not recommend this ship.
Royal has built a dock at Labadee which makes getting onto the island much easier. Since Royal leases and has developed the area, it is very much a money maker once you step onto the island. Drink huts are numerous. Beach rentals are numerous. All are very expensive. A pineapple drink was $17.21. Take water!
