This is the first ship to get the full refurbishment (a massive overhaul after 2 more voyages.) It shows. The were many broken and "slapped together" fixes in the staterooms and around the ship. Broken fixtures, wobbly furniture, poor mattresses, stains, puddles... The skylight over the Cosmos Lounge had a tarp over it - probably from leaks they were giving up on repairing. Our bathroom had black mildew, patched of grout, and broken tiles- and this was a Sky Suite.
I bring this up as you should be aware of the schedule and avoid ships about to go to dry doc. It was obvious Celebrity is putting little effort into maintenance when they're about to refurbish the ship.
Our experiences in the Luminae Restaurant were fabulous. The maitre'd, wait and bus staff, and sommelier were very professional/accommodating/fun. This made our vacation. Micheal's Club (lounge for suites) was also a highlight.
This review is for BEFORE the refurbishment. So it will be dated quickly.
This was an accessible suite. (The only sky suite left when we booked). We've had an accessible suite on the Eclipse and we expected more.
This had the smallest, grimiest shower of any cruise. Ever. Room had stains... a broken phone, a broken desk chair, sagging mattress. I expect these to get fixed.
But I do not think these to be changed with the room, even with an update: The room was a suite and had just one door (not typical two for a Sky Suite). There was only a love seat, not a sofa. No lounging chair. There are more places to sit in a balcony room at 1/2 the price!
