Please do read this. Many people on this planet speak more than one language. Many speak or understand English. Not most of English speakers could save their lives if it depended on a language other than their own.

Before going into detail as of the amenities and efficiency, I need to address the SAFETY ISSUE. The safety drill was solely conducted in English (more than 50% of the passangers were non English speakers). After a brief demonstration with the life jacket, we were shown a video (where the 'bad guy' was a Russian -with many passangers being Russian). The video was in English, with English subtitles. The numbers of cabins whose passangers had not attended, were called out in English. The non English speakers had no idea, what those numbers were. At the end of this long presentation in the Eclipse Theater, we were sent back to our cabins, to watch the video in the language of our liking... So what was the purpose of hording all passangers into the theater, if there was not even a practical drill?

All service personell was excellent (waiters, maîtres, cleaners and other attendants).What needs serious improvement in amenities and services is the lack of information in languages other than English. The daily paper (Spanish, German and French were the ones I read) is worse than poorly translated, not even MT (Machine Translation) would be this bad. The only free tv channel not in English was a sales channel in Spanish. PPV was available in several other languages (so there is the awareness, that other languages do exist...) No talks were given in any other language but English, the one article provided in Spanish during the 14 day trip was from Wikipedia (which was ok, and could have been provided for other locations and in other languages too...)
