We took our 5 children on a Christmas Cruise. It was our first time on Holland America. As far as the Rotterdam is concerned, I have fallen in love. The classic ship is elegant, well thought out, impeccably cleaned and maintained. The entertainment was amazing. we enjoyed a very funny comedian, Planet Earth is done with a live orchestra, violins, cello, piano, first-class. A musical- Post Modern Jukebox was delightful.

We did reserved dining and it did not disappoint. Food is top notch, service was kind and entertaining, we had so much fun meeting the staff. we felt spoiled and lucky and content each evening.

The ship's art is amazing. I loved the decor. It was Christmas and the Dutch gingerbread houses were adorable. There is an amazing fitness Center and Spa up on floor 8. There are 2 pools and they never felt crowded. You can eat inside, outside all day long if you wish. Read more
