We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. It was scheduled to stop in Havana and Cienfuegos, Cuba, as well as Grand Cayman.
On our way to the port, we received a text telling us they were going to have to shift the itinerary due to bad weather predicted later in the week. Our visit to Grand Cayman was cancelled and to compensate they planned on extending our stay for several hours in Havana. We were a little disappointed, but we really booked the cruise for the Cuba ports. The next day a letter was left in our cabin while we were in port in Havana. They informed us we would be unable to go to Cienfuegos. Apparently tenders are required at that port and the seas were too rough to make it feasible. Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed. They chose Ocho Rios, Jamaica as an alternate stop. We had already been there on a previous cruise. Due to all these last minute changes, we were at sea for 3 1/2 days. This ship is the oldest and smallest ship owned by RCCL. There is very little to do on board. Our consolation was a refund of the $75 we paid for our visas to visit Cuba. They have refused to offer us anything else despite repeated phone calls to their offices. This was my 5th RCCL cruise and it will most likely be my last.
I do want to say that the dining room and housekeeping staff were excellent. The food was mediocre, typical for RCCL ships.
Very small cabin. Closets were sufficient for hanging items, but there was not enough drawer space.
We loved visiting Havana. A lot to see. If you are there at night be sure to visit the Tropicana.
