We chose this ship because we had never been on a Oasis class ship before. We have done the ports numerous times so it was all about the ship. The boarding was very fast and easy. The issue for us was the drop off and pick-up area was a little crazy to say the least. There is very little signage to tell us where the areas are. The boarding was very fast and easy. The security check was very fast. The ship looks everything we had heard about it. It did not take us long the get down the lay out of the ship. You do not have to worry about places to eat or drink since they are located all over the ship. Our cabin was on deck 12 [12950] . It was a balcony cabin with a extra large balcony. The layout is nice with a nice bathroom. We felt the shower could have been bigger but it work for us. The T.V. is located in front of bed on the wall. The good part was that you could check your folio 24 Hrs. a day. The bad part was the programing was very poor. Only movies were Pay per View for $12 , the catch to that was you could view them at the Aqua theater for free at certain times of the day. The public areas of the ship are laid out very well and easy to find. The ship goes from early morning to late at night with plenty to do. We only ate in the dinning for dinner two nights. The felt the food for dinner was good, and service was fine. We ate lunch one time in the dinning room and was not impressed with the selection. Want back a second day and the selection was nothing to write home about so we want to Central Park [Park Cafe] which was very good. We ate specialty dinning 4 nights, Jamie's, Chop's and twice in "150" . The only comment I have is one of the nights in Chop's it was very loud and there were kids running around the place during dinner. I felt that they should have a age rule since people are paying for this venue. Also, the crew seems to be still keeping there feet on the ground still.
The shows were the best we have seen on any cruise line and wood see them again. That is to say a lot since we live in Las Vegas and have seen just about everything under the sun. I usually do not go to shows on ships a lot since I was in the field for many years . The only thing I would change is the time of our cruise. I picked that date because of the ports for one, but did not figure for the amount of kids on the ship. I have no problem with kids on ships but a thousand was a little bit much for us. We usually travel the last week of Nov. and first two weeks of Dec. I only blame myself for that . The airport was also busy since it was the weekend just before Christmas. We loved the ship but we like the 3,000 to 3,000 passenger size ships. The 6,300 was little too much for us!
