We saw this affordable cruise as an option to try out suites on Celebrity. The suite class experience, particularly Luminae, was incredible. We still aren't sure what a Butler is for, but he was great, the suite concierge was a real value, and the waitstaff we can't appreciate enough.
The ship was also wonderful and had none of the issues we were expecting for a ship about to be dry-docked. The process in San Juan was incredibly easy, much much simpler than Miami on and off, and the size of the ship was perfect. We enjoyed the common areas, the various bars. It had less than Solstice class ships, but was enough considering. The made for ship entertainment continues to not be our cup of tea - very eager kids trying their best - but the folks the cruise director brought on were great additions and got us to the theater - which with its tables and bench seating was very nice.
There were 5 ports - we took advantage of some excursions but had to carve out another 'sea day' when in one of the ports. All of them (St. Thomas, Antigua, St. Lucia, Barbados and St. Kitts) are super simple though, easy to walk off and be in the middle of town or a market.
Fantastic. Really beautiful. Hope they don't mess with it too much in the refresh. It is perfectly late 90s chic and very well taken care of.
A little farther away than the main ports in town, but still only about a 25 minute walk. There are frequent busses.
