We explored Paris for 3 days in the pre-cruise part of the tour (stayed at the Marriott Opera Ambassador Hotel, which was very nice & located within walking distance of the Galerie Lafayette & other shopping areas). The VIking guides were excellent - we did tours of Montmartre and other tourist areas of Paris during the 3 days. Viking Kadlin was excellent - the cabin/service and the restaurant/food was great throughout (a lot of local French food choices, e.g. escargot which we normally would not be trying!). The onshore tours were uniformly enjoyable, especially memorable was the visit to the gardens of Monet at Giverny (although the place was packed with tourists!). This was a really enjoyable trip overall in terms of comfort on the boat (excellent cabin and very friendly companions on the cruise). We will definitely do other Viking cruises in the future (although we may try a Viking Ocean cruise next time).

Cabin Review

Veranda Stateroom

Excellent service. Enough space to move around in and rest after the excursions.
